Two Week Look Ahead

 

Please note that the schedule below may change due to weather, site conditions, or other project needs. During this work, dumpsters may be swapped out, and deliveries may arrive at different times, primarily from the east side of the site along Albany Street. Some activities may cause noise or vibration. The project team will continue to work to limit disruption to residents and neighbors whenever possible.

 

What to Expect: September 21–25, 2026

 

  • West: Grading, formwork, and concrete placement are scheduled for this week.
  • North: No work is scheduled in this area.
  • East Utility Yard: Formwork, concrete placement, and grading are planned for this week.
  • East Elevation: Crews are expected to excavate for light pole bases and conduit and to grade the sidewalk area.
  • South Elevation/Plaza: Material deliveries and plaza grading are planned for this week.

 

What to Expect: September 28–October 2, 2026

 

  • West: Crews are scheduled to grade the area, prepare it for sidewalk installation, and complete preparations for binder paving.
  • North: Soil disposal is planned for this week. Work at the planter will include backfilling, repairs, and waterproofing.
  • East Utility Yard: Crews are expected to excavate for the utility pad cheek walls, light pole bases, and conduit.
  • East Elevation: Excavation for site conduit and light pole bases will continue, along with sidewalk preparation and grading.
  • South Elevation/Plaza: Material deliveries, plaza grading, and granite curb installation are scheduled throughout the week. Trucks and equipment are expected to enter through the East Newton Street gate.

Bus Stop Change Notice

 

The Bus Stop at 88 East Newton Street will be temporarily removed during construction.

The MBTA has decided to direct customers of these four Bus Service lines to two other bus service lines with existing stops in close proximity (less than a block away). See graphic below.

STOP A is E. Newton @ Harrison and will cover the 10 Line (to Copley)

STOP B is Harrison @ E. Newton and will cover the remaining lines 8 (Kenmore), 47 (Central Sq) and CT3 (Beth Israel)

All stops are covered between these 2 locations.

The physical shelter will be removed on June 24th.

The stop relocations will go into effect no sooner than July 11th.

 

The MBTA will issue their own communications to the public on this service interruption.

As a courtesy DCAMM is informing the community early so customers in the area can prepare for this upcoming change.
