Two Week Look Ahead

Please be advised that this schedule may change due to weather conditions and existing conditions     found while performing the tasks below. We will be swapping out 30 yd. dumpsters and having deliveries intermittently throughout the duration of the project mainly from the East side of the site along Albany Street. Be advised that all work has levels of vibrations and noise, and we are working to minimize the disturbance as much as possible. 

What to Expect for the Week of October 14th to October 18th, 2024

• West Elevation Activities: Finish up metal panels over the Sally Port, concrete placements on the interior of the building, trucks will be entering the site from the BMC lot and the gate at the Preston Family building. Also roofing at the Sally Port is expected to start. 

• North Alley (Albany St. side) Activities: We are expecting to start grade and prep for binder. We are expecting a pump truck set up on the NE corner of the site and placing concrete on the 4th floor.

• East Utility Yard Activities: Grading and continue with chain link fence installation. 

• East Elevation: Punch list exterior façade 

• South Elevation/Plaza: Dismantle mast climbers framing, sheathing, waterproofing, installation of Z Girt, insulation, curtain wall and metal panel installation. Delivery of material to the 6th floor. 

What to Expect for the Week of October 21st to October 25th, 2024 

• West Elevation Activities: Concrete placement on the interior of the building. Trucks will enter the site from the BMC lot and the gate at the Preston Family Building. Finish metal panel install above the Sally Port. 

• North Alley Activities: (Albany St. Side) load out excess soil, grading, and prep for binder. 

• East Utility Yard Activities: Fence install and install area drains and rough grade. 

• East Elevation: No activities scheduled for this area.

• South Elevation/Plaza: Curtain wall install, framing, sheathing, waterproofing, Z-Girt, insulation, and metal panels. Start Steel install at the activity terrace, Mast climber dismantling and removal. A large Crane at the plaza to remove roofing debris near the end of the week.

Bus Stop Change Notice

 

The Bus Stop at 88 East Newton Street will be temporarily removed during construction.

The MBTA has decided to direct customers of these four Bus Service lines to two other bus service lines with existing stops in close proximity (less than a block away). See graphic below.

STOP A is E. Newton @ Harrison and will cover the 10 Line (to Copley)

STOP B is Harrison @ E. Newton and will cover the remaining lines 8 (Kenmore), 47 (Central Sq) and CT3 (Beth Israel)

All stops are covered between these 2 locations.

The physical shelter will be removed on June 24th.

The stop relocations will go into effect no sooner than July 11th.

 

The MBTA will issue their own communications to the public on this service interruption.

As a courtesy DCAMM is informing the community early so customers in the area can prepare for this upcoming change.
